Connect AI tools
Use Oskar from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or Claude Code through its MCP server, what your assistant can do, and how access is approved.
Oskar has an MCP server, so you can ask your own AI assistant who needs you and why, without opening Oskar. Your assistant sees the same attention list as Today, with the same decisions, notes and evidence.
Your server address#
https://withoskar.com/mcp
Open that address in a browser for copyable setup instructions. If you're signed in, it also shows which workspaces your assistant will be able to use.
Setting up your assistant#
Claude and ChatGPT#
In your assistant's settings, add a custom connector (sometimes called an app or MCP server) and paste the server address.
Claude Code#
claude mcp add --transport http oskar https://withoskar.com/mcp
Cursor#
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"oskar": { "url": "https://withoskar.com/mcp" }
}
}
VS Code#
Add this to .vscode/mcp.json:
{
"servers": {
"oskar": { "type": "http", "url": "https://withoskar.com/mcp" }
}
}
Approving access#
The first time your assistant connects:
- It opens Oskar in your browser.
- You sign in with your usual Oskar account.
- Oskar shows what the assistant will be able to see and do. Choose Allow access.
Your assistant can then use every workspace in your Oskar accounts, and nothing else. It never sees another account's data.
Access tokens last a day and are refreshed automatically for up to 30 days. To stop an assistant using Oskar, remove the Oskar connector from it.
What your assistant can use#
| Tool | Read only? | What it does |
|---|---|---|
list_workspaces |
Yes | Lists the workspaces you can see, whether each is set up, and when its customers were last assessed. |
get_attention_list |
Yes | Who needs attention, most urgent first: this week's focus list, then everyone else. Each customer comes with what they need, how soon, how confident Oskar is, its note and a suggested next step. |
get_customer |
Yes | One customer in detail, found by name or id: current signals and evidence, the latest decision with its note, and earlier decisions. |
get_decision_record |
Yes | The full record of one decision as Oskar made it: what it knew about your business then (and what has changed since), the signals and evidence, the probabilities, the models used and its note. |
get_business_context |
Yes | What Oskar knows about your business: each fact, whether you confirmed it or Oskar inferred it, your notes, and what Oskar would most like to learn next. |
give_decision_feedback |
No | Marks a decision as useful, wrong or already handled. When it was wrong, it records the right call and what Oskar missed, which Oskar uses in that customer's next assessments. |
record_business_fact |
No | Saves something you said about your business, as confirmed by you, so Oskar uses it in future decisions. |
request_reassessment |
No | Asks Oskar to reassess every customer in a workspace now. It runs in the background. |
The three tools that make changes only change things inside Oskar: feedback, facts and a fresh assessment. Assistants can't change your billing, your connections or your account. They can't reach Stripe or PostHog through Oskar, and they can't contact your customers. See Read-only by design.
Things to ask#
- "Who needs attention this week, and what should I do about each one?"
- "Why does Oskar think Copperleaf might leave? Show me the evidence."
- "What does Oskar know about my business? Is anything wrong?"
- "We're always quiet in August. Remember that and reassess my customers."
Tips#
- Say what you mean, in your own words. When you tell your assistant something about your business or a customer, it should save what you actually said. Oskar treats it as confirmed by you.
- Question decisions. Ask for the decision record. It shows exactly what Oskar knew and saw, so your assistant can explain or challenge the decision with the evidence in front of it.
- Close the loop. When you've dealt with a customer, tell your assistant so it can mark the decision as already handled and take them off your focus list.
